I've sometimes wondered what a motorway service area would be like if Carsberg did them.
Yesterday I found it. Gloucestershire Services on the M5 are rated the best in the country and understandably so. There's so much space and really something for everyone with not a McDonald's Starbuck's or Costa Coffee in sight.
We set off around 9am for the steady trip southwards, calling in at Sarah and Chris's at Ilkeston before heading south-westwards, skirting around Birmingham and the passing by the edge of beautiful Bath and down to Wareham Quay on the River Frome, where we could all gather for the short final leg to West Lulworth and Durdle Door.
