Dog-Friendly Pubs and Cafes Locally

These are listed roughly in order of distance from where we're staying.  Enjoy the photos on their websites.

It may be the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year, but it's mine too - at least with this area - from the time when I was first taken there in 1952 and things have certainly gone up market from the days when it was 'Durdle Door Caravan Site' and is now 'Durdle Door Holiday Park' and even from the last time we were there.

These pubs and cafes are all either on-site or in the village, a countryside/sea views walk or a short drive away -

The Man O' War Restaurant

The Cove Inn, West Lulworth

Lulworth Lodge

The Boat Shed Cafe

Not sure if this is dog-friendly, but it’s a rather nice view on the home page!

Rudds, Lulworth

Finlays Cafe

The Castle Inn

and slightly further out -

The Weld Arms

The Welds are the big landowners in this area and the family claims descent from the time of Eadric the Wild, when William the Conqueror came to these shores.

Thursday 19 May

Today we decided we'd tour inland a little and our first stop was to see the Cerne Giant just outside Cerne Abbas.
